It must have turned milder diuring the night as there was no sign of frost this morning. It has been cliudy with a raw wind all day an d rain this afternoon Harry B. and I drove down this morning to take Mrs. Williams 3 doz. eggs. We just got there as she was leaving to catch the one car. She is so impressed with the real orimaginary quantity of our eggs that she wants me to send her 12 dozen right away to Buffalo. I haven't donew any thing else all day but read & do chores. Marj. feels quite misrable to-night with a pain in her "infernal regions".

I went out this morning to examine the pumpkins and squash and as far as I can tell they are not injured I brought them up to the house after dinner in the waggon and Marj. & I carried them into the house to-night. I hooked up the team after dinner and went down and got a couple of parcels at the station that had come for Marj. from Eaton's. I also got some lumber to board up the back porch. It is Marj's idea and she is footing the bill. Tim went down with me to watch the horses while I was in the station. It is milder to-night as the wind has gone down but it is freezing a little.
