Friday October 16th
This being the 5th anniversary of our wedding, we all went down to Aunty's for dinner to celebrate it, and as it seems when people have been married for the length of time we have they are eligible for wooden wedding presents, the family presented us with a cord of stove wood and good hardwood at that. Dad. & Frank brought it out this morning just before we left for town. Quint and Frank were down for dinner. I spent most of the after noon in Bob Leaney's barber shop and we came home fairly early. Lovely day raining to-night.
Saturday October 17th
We have been celebrating again to-day over at the Farm this time in honor of our wedding & Frank's birthday (Which is tomorrow) combined. Quint brought Aunty & Aunty Alice over and we had a bang-up chicken dinner and just sat around this after noon except Quint, Frank & Tim who went shooting. Mr. Cornish came over about four o'clock to wonder what was going to be done about decorating the church for the Thanksgiving Service to-morrow, just why he came over to the Farm to wonder about it I didn't quite make out. We came home fairly early and I went over to Mrs. McBride's afterwards and got 5 doz. eggs for {illegible}. Cloudy & quite cool.
