I went {words obscured} Mrs. Lampkin but she was going to Simcoe {word obscured} noon but just at noon Ina came in on her {word obscured} from the poll and said she would come to wash {word obscured} if it was a fine day so she stayed for the {word obscured} with the children and Marj. & I went to the {word obscured}. We got some groceries and sold our 4 1/2 doz {words obscured} customers at 50 cts a dozen and I got {words obscured} -sash at Hall's and left it down at Aunty's. {word obscured} home about five and I drove Ina home. {words obscured} I walked into town to hear election returns {words obscured} in till midnight, but the returns were of course {word obscured} complete when I left, but the Conservatives {words obscured} lead. Ontario & the Maritimes were almost solid {words obscured} wormed out 4 seats in Quebec but there was {word obscured} word from the West, so it is hard to say how {words obscured} stand ultimately. There were a good many polls {word obscured} from in Meighan's own riding at Portage la Prairie {word obscured} was behind about 300, and it looked when {word obscured} as if King was beaten in North York. We were getting {words obscured} Radio set in the Town Hall all at intervals {words obscured} street noises in Toronto around the Star office, and it was quite {evident?} Toronto was wild. The Q.O.R. band was out accompanied by a deafening din of cheering yelling & singing etc.The broadcaster described {word obscured} scene to us and said King St. West was {word obscured} with the biggest election crowd in History. Cloudy to-night but it has been sunny with a short {word obscured}
