I spent most of the fore noon trying to persuade Marj. it was time to get up. I didn't get out very early myself and called her first when I left to go over to the schoolhouse. She was still in bed when I came back so I called her again and then went out and milked. When I came in after that she and the rest of the family were all having such an enjoyable snooze that I thought it was a shame to wake them so I had breakfast by myself. I came in about 11 o'clock and Marj. was up but hadn't had breakfast yet so I had an early dinner and she a late breakfast all in one meal. She had given the children their breakfast. I put in quite a lot of time puttering

Queen in and then walked back to Art's after them. Bobbie didn't get out. I shouldn't have left them out this morning. It made us late with tea and to add to the lateness Gay upset the coal oil can and spilled a gallon or so all over the kitchen floor and it took Marj. some quite awhile to sop it up. Marj. saved a lot of it by squeezing it into the wash basin. I was late getting through with the chores. It is not quite so cold to-night.
