I went up to Harvey Shands about noon to ask him if Tuesday would suit him as well as to-morrow to audit the school books as I want to go after a load of coal or coke in the morning I thought the wind would freeze my face going up the road. Charlie told me it was 10 below this morning and was about zero at noon. I spent the day trying to get a chance to read my new book but not having much luck on account of the numerous chores Marj. had on. She has been on the go all day but feels pretty tired. |

commotion. What we are going to do with every thing I don't know as the house is so full now there is hardly room for us in it. The party broke up soon after four. Dad. took the town ones down in the bobs and we got home just before dark. It has been a nipping cold day but sunny and our fires were all right so the house was good and warm. The kids were all asleep when we got home and we laid them out on different beds. Harry B slept till it was time to put him to bed. Dad. had another cable from Mr. Parks saying asking for Marj's & my official marriage certificate and they sent to Ade Millman to get it, so that looks as if Harry B. was mixed up in the proceedings, but we had a very merry Christmas in spite of lighter hopes. We all got very pretty little calendars from Mr. & Mrs. Parks.
