but I located what I was sure was the stack he spoke of and it is certainly rough feed but there may be some picking in it if the stock is hungry enough to pick at it. I came back to the farm & landed there just in time for dinner & just ahead of Dad. who had been down town. Dad. got another letter from Mr. Parks to-day enclosing a copy of one he had written to Aunty Hattie; saying he was coming out if she could meet him and telling her that he would like some help from her & her lawyer and telling her that Dad. intended giving her $50,000.00 if & when he became entitled to the fund, but saying nothing about her supposed claim. It occurred to me just lately and when I mentioned it to Dad. he made a note of it to ask Mr. Parks about as he had not thought of it, but as Uncle Frank died before Fa. I can't see how the court makes out any claim for him & much less for Aunt Hattie what ever. It looks to me as though instead of Aunt Hattie having a claim on this converted or unconverted property that they are arguing about it should be Aunty, Aunty Alice & Huby, however as none of us understand the legal points its not much use to discuss it although it is quite a lot of fun. I went on down town this after noon to see Archie Long but he had gone down to the farm. I told Mr. Long that I would give him $25.00 cash for the stack and a load of his thrashed bluegrass which is good feed. He is selling it for $10.00 a load and he told me he would let me have the stack for $20.00 I took Mr. Parks letter down to Aunty's but neither of them were there. Huby & David were there so I left it with Huby. I saw a cablegram on the sideboard and supposed it to be from Mr. Parks so read it and it said "Sailing on Montroyal 16th due 24th" I went back by the farm and told Dad. Mr. Parks said in his letter that he hoped to get back to England by the end of January and get before the judge again during February. I drove Ina home after tea to-night.

Wednesday January 13th

We all wemt dowmn town to dinner to-day. The sleighing is fair now and so we culd riode comfortably in the cutter.Marj. had to go to the doctor's again, but he thought she would not need any more trwatments. She also wemnt up to see Glad. law. Quint and I took a walk up town after dinner and we got the mail. Quint is much interested in the muskrat farming project if onlyhe had enough money to launch into it. I wet over and saw Arcjie Long and he took my offer for the hay, so we cam ehome by way of the farm. Franksaid if it was decent he would go down wirth me Friday and get a load. Quite cold.
