with us in the bob-sleigh and they drove back with me in the cutter. It was such a nice day Marj. thought the drive would do them good. Marj. went over to the Lampkins to another party to-night and I set bread. Marj. played crokinole and got the indigestion as usual. The John Evans, the Charlie Butler and Mrs. Walker & Mabel were the other guests. Mabel an Mr. Evans furnished the music both vocal & instrumental & Charlie & Marj. the wit & humour.

Thursday February 25th

We woke up this morning to find it pouring rain and coming from the east. It rained hard till after daylight when the wind veered to the south & south west and it partly cleared but the wind has been rising all day and this after noon it has rained most of the time. The flats were pretty well covered to-night. I didn't do any thing but chores and sit around the house reading sleeping & playing with the baby. Marj. baked bread but has felt all in so lay down for most of the after noon.

Friday February 26th

It turned colder during the night and has been snowing and very blustery, but has cleared off & quieted down to-night. I just did chores this morning and went down to the dentist's this after noon. He filled the tooth he has been killing the nerve in and it is darned painful to-night. I got my hair cut much to Aunty's distress as she is always afraid I will catch cold. I was in there for a few minutes and saw Dick who returned from Montreal Wednesday night. I was in at the farm for a few minutes. Dad. has a very badly swollen face as the dentist broke a piece of a root of one of the teeth he extracted and made his jaw sore digging for it. Dad. got a letter from Mr. Parks to-day, the first he has had since Mr. Parks got back. Marj. should have gone to the dentist to-day but it was too rough to take the kids out as Harry B. has a bad cough.

Saturday February 27th

My tooth has been sore all day to-day so I have kept out of the cold as much as possible. It is better to-night. I just did chores and did a little squshing for Marj. and swept the school house, spent the rest of the day sitting around reading and {illegible} with the kids. I carried water to the cows from the pump as I was afraid to have them go to the creek the hill was so slippery but I turned them out for awhile and they went down in spite of having been watered. Bright but cold N.W. wind.
