tea. I didn't join in that game but sat & talked to Karl. Coleman, Ed. Steele & Harry Moon. Harry has just returned from a two months visit to New York & neighboring cities so has a lot to talk about. About eleven o'clock the Steele orchestra struck up and we danced from then till about one. We had a good time, as there wasn't too big a crowd and every body knew every body which made tings more sociable. Mabel came over and stayed all night with Marj. Marj. has a very sore throat.

Wednesday March 3rd

It has been very windy and cold all day and this after noon it snowed most of the time and was very blustery. We sat around the house most of the fore noon till Marj. suddenly remembered that she had to have dinner ready on time for Mabel. I walked down to Art Quanbury's this after noon and bought a couple of cockrels to mate with my hens. He charged me $2 apiece but I didn't pay him. Art is busy making a radio set.

Thursday March 4th

It froze very hard last night but has been a very sunny day with a cold north west wind. I did chores this morning and after dinner drove Marj. Gay & the baby up to Flossie's to a Women's Institute meeting. Marj. didn't decide to go till noon as her throat and chest are very sore and she can hardly talk but it was such a nice day and on several other occasions when she has been invited up there something has prevented. Harry B & I drove over home and he told Dad. that Mum-mum, Gay and baby sis had gone to a hin party. I left him there and went on down to the dentist but I was late for my appointment and he was so busy he didn't do anything to me. Martha Bonfield and Ruth were both there Dad. had all his remaining teeth out this morning so his face is pretty sore. Harry B and I drove up to Shand's and collected the family before we came home.

Friday March 5th

I did up some of my chores and helped Marj. do some of hers as she feels miserable with her cold and I drove down and had dinner at Aunty's so that I could get up to the dentist's early. Frank was there to dinner, he having been to the dentist's this morning. I went up soon after dinner and had two more teeth filled. He has them all filled now
