few chores, by the time I got back here after taking the waggon home, it was dark. I took the old harrows over to John Evans for him to sharpen them. Dad. & Enah drove in about four with a bundle of clothes they were taking out to the Doves, who evidently will not lack for plumage.

Saturday March 20th

We all went to town again to-day and had dinner at Aunty's. Quint was there and had his new clock on the sideboard which he has been building for the last few weeks ~ clock not sideboard. It is walnut and certainly is a beauty. Marj. had to go to the dentists this after noon and Quint and I went up and got Aunty's mail stopping in for awhile to visit Mr. McLean in his workshop. He is another worker in walnut. Dad. & Enah were down Dad's tooth is still very sore. Another mild Spring day but rather cloudy.

Sunday March 21st

I swept the school house out this morning and did a few odd chores and about noon Marj. & Harry B went up to the Shands. Marj. wanted to see Flossie about taking the Dove kids for dinner. Marj. has had them all this last week and Flossie said they would take them some time as Marj. has to go to the dentist again to-morrow she wanted to be free of them. She left me to boil the potatoes and feed Gay. and said she would be back as soon as Flossie got home from church. I boiled the vegetables but Gay went to sleep before they were done so I had a most enjoyable and peaceful read till the baby woke up and then I played with her as I didn't know what to feed her. Marj. Harry B & Flossie came back about half past four and Flossie stayed for awhile and then Marj. got me some dinner and I did up my chores. Beautiful day.

Monday March 22nd

I spent the fore noon cleaning the two chicken houses, as the dropping boards hadn't been cleaned all winter it was quite a job. I let the chickens all out as it was a lovely day and let the chicken house floors stay bare all day to dry and then put straw in to-night. We all went to town this after noon and Marj. and I both went to the dentists and got finished up with him. We left all the kids at the farm as Aunty & Aunty Alice went to Simcoe to get a carpet - but didn't have any luck. They were home before we left town. We saw three robins in Jack Martin's colony field on our way home. Very mild S.E. wind raining a little to-night.
