Wednesday March 31st

We woke up this mornng to find every thing coated thick with ice and a cold rain falling forming more. It has rained all day but turned a little milder during the day and most of the ice has disappeared. I couldn't do any thing outdoors but chores so helped Marj. in the house and did some painting in the kitchen. The storm must have delayed the cars as we got no mail to-day. We both have bad colds.

Thursday April 1st

It was snowing this mornng and hs been blowing a fine blizzard all day. I walked into town as we were out of butter and I fgot my eggs that Charlie Chris's the other day and took them to town and sold rthem. I then walked home carrying the crate with groceroes on it. The roads were heavy and the blizzard was blinding between Art Quanbury's & Evans so i had an enjoyable walk getting home about
