He went down with me to get the coal and then went back to Aunty's for dinner as he had to go to the dentist's this afternoon. I came home alone woth the coal geeting here about one. I put the team in and didn't unload the coal but had dinner and went over to Dove's sale, and tere I bought a cow alittle bit of a red on coming four and fresh about two weeks, she sold for $75.00 and was the highest priced one sold but Dove and the orthers who know her say she is a good one. Trum Walker backed my note. The cows hadn't been milked since last night so I milked quite a kot out of her before I brought her home. I had very littlke trouble with her as she is as quiet and gentle as a kitten. After i got hime I had to unoad my coal and then take the waggon back home and bring the buggy back here so that is was well after dark when i got back. Tom Stone overtook me just as I was turning in the lane andstopped to talk for awhile. He was just returning from taking the last of the Dove's possessions down town to them as they went down tio thei new home to-day. Tom said he wasn't at all sorry they were gone. He didn't know the night of the fire that he was going to have such a prolonged visit from them. Fine & milder.
