I brought my chop home around by the Charlie McQueen road which is in bad shape and then took the waggon back, and found that Harry B had decided to come home, so I brought him and his "trunk". Tim. wanted him to stay over Sunday but evidently seeing Gay & the baby yesterday & seeing us all go off and leave him had made him a little homesick. We stopped in at the Lampkins and got our butter, which she had put up in 5:1 lb. five one lb prints, which we considered was pretty good for the little cow and as we have used a lot of milk. The kids are happy & quarelling again once more.

Saturday April 17th

I drove down town this morning to seel four pounds of our butter. We thought we had beetter keep one pound as Mrs. lampkin would be hurt to think we wouls use creamery butter when we had the chanc eto use hers but as we can get the money for dairy butter now and do't haver to pay for thr poher for. ammmonth or more and furthermore are in dire need of funds at present which we have the hope though ever so faint that we will be ridiculously waelthy insode of a month we thought it better to cash in on the butter &
