as mine but when he looked at the clips he said they were different so he got one of theirs and it was about twice as long so we decided that the ones I had were not meant for steel posts at all but for putting on wooden pickets. I went down town and changed them for the proper kind. I went down to Aunty's & they gave me some grated horseradish and some hollyhock roots which I set out when I got home. I went over to the Lampkin's to-night as they got some groceries that I ordered the other day at Cecil's and then forgot to collect. I asked them to get them for us before I knew that I would have to go down. East wind this morning changing to west after the rain. Not cold.

Sunday April 25th

It was drizzling this morning but it did not last long but it has been cloudy, cold and windy all day. We spent the day sleeping reading and doing chores. No one came in or left the place, nothing happened.
