I disked the field lengthwise this forenoon working till about one o'clock and this after noon Marj. Harry B. & I went down town. We were out of bread & flour so had to go. I had intended trying to get my seed peas but we got such a late start I didn't try and Dad. is going down to the factory to-morrow after Frank's seed so will get mine at the same time. Harry B. went over to Mrs. Lampkin's this morning with a note to ask her if she would keep Gay & the baby, so we left them there and they behaved very well. There was a cable from Mr. Parks to-day reading "Case adjourned 19th". The big strike over there is called off, so they can get down to business. | I disked the field lengthwise this forenoon working till about one o'clock and this after noon Marj. I harrowed and rolled the field to-day but didn't get any more than that done to it. Old Belle seems lamer and slower than ever and I couldn't seem to get away to-day. I hoed the raspberries sat noon that I set out last fall, the ground was very hard around them. I quit work about five and helped Marj. enlarge the chick's run. To-day the case was to come up again but we don't look for news till to-morrow. Fine & warm.
