Dad's letters from Mr. Parks have been none too cheerful lately, he hopes the judge will decide in Dad's favour but there is an old case that may prevent he said, but the other day Dad. got a cable from him reading "Decision July 1st. Don't worry." which Dad thought meant that he and heard something in confidence from the Judge's clerk. Dad. was possibly right for to-day two cablegrams's came one from Mr. Parks reading "Successful" and the other from White's saying "Judge decides you solely entitled to land. No steps can be taken until Fenton decided whether to appeal or not." They came just before noon and Aunty Alice showed them to me when I went in for my horn at noon and I took them over to Dad. on my way home for tea to-night as he wasn't down town all the after noon. It is the best news we could hope to get but it will be better if we hear that there will be no appeal. It has been a beautiful day for the "First" I drove down to Aunty's about 8 o'clock this morning & polished up my horn. I then came back changed my clothes & had lunch and we all drove down. I was with the band all the after noon and Cousin Harry took Marj. & Harry B around so that H.B. is so excited to-night, he can't talk fast enough or loud enough to get it all told about. They all went for a ride on the merry-go-round, had ice cream & came home with two balloons. We came home to tea and I walked back afterwards to play to-night. I was too late for the first half of the concert but played in the second part. John S. Martin congratulated Ernie Knight on his band and I think he deserved it.
