| + | I went over home this morning and got the rake and raked up the alfalfa before dinner and got part of it cocked this after noon but quit early and got ready for Jim Ryerse's serenade to-night & then Harvey Bose & Harper called for me before I had shaved. We had a great spread out there and a sort of practice. Walt Steele pretended to lead us as Ernie Knight had a blue streak on and wouldn't come down with Sid Beaumont, much to the latter's disgust. Marj. was down town this after noon peddling strawberries | ||

feet, they have hurt her so much lately. He prescribed some sort of support which she ordered and told her she had been wearing shoes that were too short. Winnie Shand was here when I came home but didn't stay long, she came over for a couple of cans of dextri maltose for her baby. Marj. told her she had a couple of cans on hand to dispose of. I drove Marj. over to the farm & Enah went on down town with her while I cocked hay till she got back. Enah stayed down to go to choir practice to-night. Dave's cows had been in on my alfalfa to-day & poor old Dave had hobbled over to tell Marj. & was rather peeved so I fixed the fence after I got home to-night which made me pretty late getting through.
