We only hauled three lifts to a load and made it in four trips & one lift extra, but it took us a long time to gather it off the hill so we were all day at it. Andrew came out and went back with Dad. He mowed away and hoed between loads. He is slow but a steady worker and a very nice fellow to have around. Hot. I walked down & back to band concert to-night. Very tired |

Tuesday July 6th
I was over home all day to-day and we finished getting the alfalfa in in seven big loads and a lift. Dad. & Frank put five in yesterday making twelve loads off that field. Andrew Lowe came out here this morning and I left him to cock up the rest of my alfalfa and do some hoeing. Ina was here all day and Marj. drove her home and took Andrew as far as Pickford's corner. Hot & very dry
