Friday September 17th

I went down this fore noon to help at the Horticultural show but found I wasn't much needed. Frank and I turned alfalfa this after noon and tonight went to the Horticultural show. I went with the band. Cable "All Well" from Dad. to-day.

Saturday September 18th

Frank and I went down in the waggon this afternoon fore-noon and got my chicken crates and some oat chop. This after noon I walked over home while Frank did housework. We had a fierce time with the roan heifer of Elgitha's that lost her calf. Full description of event in Dad's diary, which I have kept up-to-date, neglecting this one.

Sunday September 19th

Frank, Draper, and I spent whole forenoon getting the heifer caught and milked. We went down to Aunty's for dinner as we were too late for church. We both came back to the farm early after dinner. Cecil Win and family were all here and stayed for tea. Frank drove Irene out home where they got some nasturtiums. We all went down town to-night. George arrived just as we were starting out. He came up this after noon with Ada and stayed over there for tea. We called in there on our way down and picked up Ada, then all went around home with Cecil & Win and on down to Aunty's. Clear and warm all day.

Monday September 20th

Went over home and picked crab apples for Dorrie while George & Frank picked her some plums. Aunty Alice also picked a basket of plums down there so this after noon I went down and expressed her 3 baskets of plums & {1?} of crab apples. George & Frank raked my alfalfa this after-noon and cocked part of it. I went out to-night & shut up chickens.

Tuesday September 21st

I rode Tim's wheel out home this morning and sorted out and crated 30 more cockrels. George & Frank came out in the waggon and we finished cocking the hay and this afternoon took the chickens down town and shipped them. We all went down to Pickfords to-night.

Wednesday September 22nd

We went over to my place to-day and hauled in the alfalfa in two loads. Had our lunch out there. Ina was there making catsup for Marj. Threatening day.
