Wednesday October 6th

We started at the corn to-day, got some pulled but didn't take the team out. Field very wet. Cloudy & drizzly.

Thursday October 7th

Frank hauled down a small load of corn on the waggon box with side boards and George & I cut road and pulled more. It is a very poor crop and large patches drowned out. We all went down to see Sid Goodwin to-night but there was no one home. We went on down to Huby's but they had callers so we went from there down to Aunties but they were just going to bed so we came home. Cool and cloudy.

Friday October 8th

Hauled more corn to-day & got some chicken feed some of which I took out home this after noon. Froze last night.

Saturday October 9th

Hauled 2 loads of corn to-day but last nights frost nipped it. Bond says another frost will make it unfit for packing but it is milder to-night.

Sunday October 10th

We all went to church this morning but were late. Harvest home service. George and I had dinner at Auntie's and Frank and Irene went for a picnic up the lake shore in the rain. I came home early and did chores. George stayed down to see Ada off and then came home and got my supper. Very mild.
