He thrashed at Ryerse's this after noon. George & I drove down to Sid's and had Queen's shoe set had a cold lunch at my place and spent the after noon burying old Belle but didn't finish. Went down to-night to see the prize fight pictures. Phoebe operated on to-day. Very sick. Fine day. | ||

| + | Rained during the night so was too wet to do anything with my corn. I went down and called up Clara to tell her I would go down Friday night and go up to Haliburton with Marj. on Saturday. I got word from Marj. from Toronto saying she was coming back home here next week. This after noon I went out and finished covering up poor old Belle. George & Frank went down and got a load of old rubbish to burn from Aunties. | ||

| + | I spent the day over home and had dinner at Mrs. Lampkins. I moved the glassware out of the sideboard down cellar so that Cecil & Co can move things around when they go at the floors. I dug some potatoes this after noon. There are a good many rotted but the early ones would have been a good crop. George and Frank dug up the old culvert in the lane which was plugged full of roots & mud, and Frank got Clare Deal to bring over some new and larger tile. They didn't quite finish the job. | ||

got back there was a card in the mail from Marj. saying she wanted mouse-ear for the kids as there was Whooping cough in Haliburton, so I had to ride Tim's wheel out home to get it. Ray rode over just before I left to say poor old Belle was in a hole out there and couldn't get out, so George walked out and shot her. I hated to have it done but it was the only thing to do. I rode down town and posted the mouse-ear to Marj. and then came home and milked as Frank & George were down with the corn till after dark. Lea Marshall and Mr. {name?} as stock-salesman were in and delayed me for some time selling stock in the new comany Hamilton Dairys. Fine and mild.
