Quint Cecil & Avery Bush started on the veranda out there. This after noon I went down town after dinner and got a hair cut & shave and left on the 4.30 for Toronto. I disembarked at Sunnyside and after much chasing around and inquiry joined Marj. at Mrs. Gorrie's. Bud & Clara took us from there to their own place in their car. The baby was at the Gorrie's with Marj. and had to be waked up but took it quite good naturedly, and then kept us awake with her crying most of the night. I don't think she knew me.

Bud took us to the train this morning in plenty of time and we spent the whole day getting to Haliburton and came within an ace of missing our train in Lindsay as we thought we had a half an hour longer than we had. We had dinner there. Dorrie Harry B & Gay met us at the station. It was dark & pouring rain when we arrived but Dorrie had a car there. Miss Bain had tea ready for us and to-night I went with Dorrie & Madeline the understudy at the P.O. down to put flowers in the church. it was a beautiful fore noon but started to rain at noon and kept it up till after dark to-night. I almost think though that the gloomy day rather enhanced the beauty of the Haliburton scenery, although those woods, lakes & hills are beautiful in any weather.
