Sunday October 31st
Marj. George & Harry B walked to church this morning while Frank and I did house chores and looked after Gay & the Doodlebug. Frank got in line with several church services over his Radio. Harry B. stayed down at Aunties for dinner and Marj. the other two and I drove down and got him this after noon. We got St Paul's {Toronto} service quite plainly by Radio to-night all except Canon Cody's sermon.
Monday November 1st
Frank and George went down to Pickfords to help him load some pigs this morning and then Frank made a corn horse and this after noon we all started to cut the corn by hand but it blew and drizzled rain so that we got sick of the job and all went down to the creek for a while. Our curiosity was first aroused in that direction by a white object down the road which on closer inspection proved to be John S. Martin's new manure spreader that had been the object of a Hallowe'en prank and treated to a coat of white wash. Cecil & Co. finished the house to-day. Marj. & I went to the picture show to-night.
Tuesday November 2nd
Marj. the kids and I drove out home this forenoon and Marj. hunted out some extra clothing while I killed and picked a chicken for Aunty Alice. Frank and George picked up 20 bus. {bushels} of apples this morning and this after noon took them over to Charlie's and had them converted into cider. I picked a couple of hampers of sweet apples this after noon. The boys were so interested by our account of Harold Lloyd in the show last night that they went to see him to-night.
Wednesday November 3rd
I went over home this morning and took my lunch Frank Slocomb & Bronsie {Name?} went out and patched the cistern. I picked some more apples, killed 3 more chickens aand pulled some mangolds. Frank & George were at Martin's all day threshing. Milder but cloudy
