Tom came down with his team this morning and we took the old lane fence down and much to my surprise were able to plough three furrows down the south side of the old fence ridge. It was pretty rocky and hard to hold the plough in in spots, we couldnt plough any more as the horses couldn't walk on the ridge but we broke quite a length of the ridge down partly with the plow going crosswise at it and partly with the axe. | Tom came down with his team this morning and we took the old lane fence down and much to my surprise were able to plough three furrows down the south side of the old fence ridge. Tuesday December 14th
We left Gay & the baby with Ina this morning and Marj. Harry B and I drove down town. Marj went up town for some Christmas buying and I walked over to Charlie Quanbury's and paid my interest on the mortgage. We had dinner at Aunty's at their urgent behest and came home soon after. Ina said Tom Stone had been here to help me with lane and said he would come again to-morrow but I don't think he can do any thing as it is frozen up solid again. I took the wire off the posts this after noon.
