Sunday January 16th

It was another very cold night but has not been so frosty to-day. The wind went a little to the west and has been very raw and it has been cloudy all day. We were late getting up and I puttered around at the chores most of the forenoon. Marj. Harry B and Gay went over to Sunday school at 3 o'clock and I stayed here with the baby. I got her to sleep so I wrote to Dorrie. The sunday school was a fizzle as Mabel. Mr. Evans & Flossie & Charlie were the only others there. Flossie & Charlie came down here for tea and spent the evening.

Monday January 17th

I went over to Herb Law's this morning to telephone to town and find out when Harry Dyer's funeral was but herb wasn'tat home so I walke dup to Harvey Shand Evan's and Mrs. Evans called up and found it was 1.30 to-morrow. I came home by qway of the Lampkin's. Dave had Reg. helping him cut somw wood and it was noon by the time I got home. I got. alittle more done to th3 calf pen this after noon, put hinges on the door and kamde. agate for the inside opening. Much milder & sunny to-day. Will Ryerse died yesterday of pneumomia & Walt Dimming from a srtroke.
