We had breakfast very late as usual. Mabel was here and stayed till about noon but not to dinner. I battoned the cracks on the north side of the calf pen which took me till after noon. Harry B and the baby were out and by the time I finished we were all cold so I came in the house and read to Harry B. till he went to sleep. Before I got out again Dad. drove over. He didn't stay long as he said he had to get back to do chores. George

up the chores. I got them done up early and walked down to Aunty's for tea, had a nice visit with them all there and then went to the Hockey Match with the band. The match was between the Simcoe & Dover Juniors and would have been a good game if the ice had been hard but as it has been thawing all day the boys had to shove the puck through slush and couldn't make long shots or move it fast. Dover I think played a little the best game but they were well matched and kept the score even each team getting 3 goals so they played half an hour over time and Dover got one making the score 4 - 3 in favour of Dover. I got a ride home with Frankie & Carl Lemmon. Very mild and spring like all day.
