in spite of treating the band to coffe and sandwichs. The two best features of the evening were the hockey match between Dover & Jarvis "professionals" and the race for boys under 12. The professional men of Dover were made up of the two dentists. Dr. Struthers "Pat." McGaw McDonald. Mr. McKinnes the preacher and a few non-professionals. They had a junior O.H.A. man in goal and that saved them from an absolute defeat, as it was the score was 2 - 1 in favour of Jarvis. The Rev. McKinnes could barley skate let alone play hockey but he wound up by getting into a scrap with a Jarvis man and being put off. The funny part of the boys race was a little fellow not much bigger than Harry B. with a green dress on that reached the ice and hampered him more or less.

Milford Evans entered the race and would have done well but he had to slow up and soar around the corners instead of skate. It was after twelve when we got home.
