I went over | I went over this morning and got Dock. and went after a load of coal. I didn't get started very early and called in at the farm for quite awhile and again at Uncle Ward's to give him Willie Shand's subscription so it was noon when I got to the coal car. Mid. & Shubert loaded me up though before they went to dinner. I went up town and got some groceries so it was well after noon before I got home. I unloaded the coal & took Dock. home, and about four o'clock Harry B and I drove up and saw Sid. Marsh about the Charlie Munroe place as Dad. told me if I could make a deal with him to do it. I can't do much with poor old Dave he wants too much money for his place and wants | ||

a membership ticket for the Horticultural Society. I spent the after noon making a swing stand out of a cheese-box. Marj. had the pattern for it cut out of a magazine. She covered it and it looks quite nice. This was the night the Junior hockey team was to play Woodstock in the semi-finals but it is so soft to-night I don't think they can play. I would have walked in if I had thought they could, as it should be worth seeing.
