Decr 5th There is a late frost in the ground to day, but it was in condition for being slowed there few days back. The month of Novr was variable a good deal of rain fell, once or twic a little snow which soon disappeared occasionally a moderate degree of frost

Decr 11 It snowed yesterday slightly all day It is to-day about 5 inches deep - Any snow showers that fell this season before were of such a trifling nature that I did not think them worthy of notice here
