25th Lady Day Annunciation of Virgin Mary John Hamilton Charles Rose and Willie Rose here Donald Young  Alek McDoneles wife Departed this Morning I crofsed to Summerstown the Funeral of Allen Camerons child to Day the Priests and Bishops and the Unitarian Preacher in Williamstown this week speaking to A McLachlan about a Load of Marsh hay to come tommorrow for it Bought of AJ Baker 1 lb Powder 4  3 lb shot  1/6 Box of Caps 10 cents seen the 2 Herricks at Summers's George and Ben soap 10 cents turned a Little soft this Evening Rookey taking Down his Potatoes to Peter Grants

26th soft to Day Raining some put the Marsh hay stack in the Barn Captain McLauchlin came for the hay Got 1/2 Ton Gave me 6/3 and is Going to Leave the rest with AJ Baker one of my Feet very sore on the sole there is a corn and I put it on a piece of ice and it pains me most awful sore Kind of Looks Like a thaw which is much needed Froze some to night Fixing my Powder and shot

28th I crofsed William McLean came for a Load of Marsh hay Gave me 2 Dollars for what he got Got 6/3 from AJ Baker that Captain MLaughlin left for me crofsed {illegible} to  Mr MLeods for a Pot Got a Ride up From Donald Angus Bought Basket 12 / Pins 10 Treat 10 Paid John Summers what I owed him 2/6 Butter Tapt
