14th WEnt with 5 Bags of ashes 8 Bushels to Jimmy Grant Did not hear of Robs Death till I seen the Funeral Folks there stopt in the ashery Jim Hopkins and I till the Funeral was over to 1 Pint of Whiskey Bought of Vipond 1 Dollars worth of Tin Basins 1 Tin mug Butter Tub 1 Doz Eggs for her to hatch Heard the Kingston was Burnt

15th cutting Weeds Brush Windy set the Hen to hatch

16th caught the Raft 2 men came and told me to take care of it till Thursday  I took the sail and Rope of the Raft to the house and pully Block very very Warm Day sleeping made stroke on this Day the evermemorable Battle of Waterloo Began

17th Began to Wean Bismarck not to say very Bad Went with 6 1/2 Bushel of ashes Bought of Vipond 2 small Tin mugs 1 Dipper 3 yds of Linen for Gordon thread 1/4 lb Tob

Sunday Livinia Gordon and Bismarck went up to Salmon River to see Lis A Fine Day Rained some Tom Kennedy and Rookey here wanting Pasture for their sheep Gordon close to the Royal Spotty Calved to Day a Heifer calf

3rd Gordon and I to Rofs Island to see if we could find some fat Pine Stumps got some got 4 staves Large ones and 2 small ones Killed some Black snakes Trowled some to Day for the First But Got no Bites high East Wind went to Charlies Island the Butternut) Julia Mayville and Galerneau here Sunday Looking for Balick they say he has Left her shot some of those Fan Tailed Black Birds a Great many on the water to Day splitting up Fat Pine Planted citrons and Watermelons to Day Potatoes coming up some Gordon Broke the hoe Piled up the Big staves 44 Good ones 70 odd ones of small ones John Sanford McDonald Buried to Day

4th Began to Heap up manure at the East End of the Barn Dug this Peice put 90 odd hills of Beans sowed some scarlet Hatfeild Ruta Bagas seeds commenced

5th howing the Weeds in the Potatoes Fishing alone got 10 peices of Fish Ells succours Perch Lost a sturgeon

6th Brought my ashes to the River caught 7 Planks Lots of Rubbish going Down to Day Washed the Wool Fire Flies commenced to show or Lightning Bugs cut some Brush at the Lower Point

7th Looking for the Ram Found him Dead up at the East side of the Big Hicory Elm nuts Falling Pigeons Plenty
