16th I went to Summerstown seen Rod Cameron taking up stones on Hamiltons Island for the Lighthouse he Told me old Donald Munroe Departed on the 11th Bought of Vipond 2 Bushels of oats 70 cents 8 yds of Cotton 14..1..12  1/2 lb cut Tob 20 a spool 3 2 hanks of Black Thread 5 James Grant and John Hamilton Thomas Munroe came with the ark for the Horses the Wind was too high had to Leave them and take my Boat and go home I Harnefsed the horse to the sleigh and took Down the Bag of Oats put the horses in the stable Feeding the with Timothy

18th Howard McDonald Died  Began to make a hen House and took a Bad pain in my Back its the Backache I can hardly stir with it Fed the Horses some Oats feeding and salt they have not the disorder other horses has put the Hens in their house to night the calves stopt away to night snowing tonight Windy

31st This is Holy Eve I went to Hamilton and Down to Hugh M Gillis's for the Boy to Bring to D Suple he would not come Got 100 lb of Flour from Peter Buchanan treated me in Tyos had a Treat at John McGreggors seen Luke Paid Donald suple 35 cents Found a cat on the Road stopt at Bills all night Bought of Bourdon 4 yds of Flannel at 25 cents a yd

1st of November all Saints Day came home Luke spearing EEls Raining

2nd all Souls Day Trying for EEls got none Tearing Down the East shed pilling the Rails Lots of Ducks and Wild Geese a Great many shooting a Good Deal of Towing

3rd On this Day of the Month Granda Departed in the year 1857 high wind East the Corsican went up this morning

4th Began the East shed Fixing the Manure in a Pile at the East End of the Barn

5th Guy Fawks Day Got 2 Ducks Maxim here Piling manure

6th Maxim went off

7th Helens Birth Day Making a Fence around the heap of Manure

8th caught the horse Drawing wood From the Lower Point cold high Wind covered the Radishes

9th Prince of Wales Birth Day Drawing Wood cutting and piling shot an owl
