2nd I crofsed to Hamiltons William Lavelette there with 4 axes to Grind Got Isacc Blondeau to Fix my Boots 15 cents Got new Years from Isacc Heard Sandy Ward Departed yesterday James McKenna here for a Load of his hay Fine turned cold and then stormy then Raining to night George Renshaw came from Town went Down yesterday

3rd Allen's Birth Day a Fine Day Sun hot Thawing Chopping Stove Wood

4 chopping stove Wood stormy this morning turned Kind warm some Windy from the West changed to night to East

Sunday 5 cold some Froze last night Blustering to Day snowing Drifing East Wind

6th Began to Make a hand Sleigh seen a Fish hawk or an Eagle after a Duck in the airhole and after hovering around for a Long time he plunged after her and Got her and Tore her on the ice

8th Hugh Ann's Birth Day 7 years old to Day James McKenna came for a Load of his hay Had a Bottle with him his Bobs came a part I Gave him a Trace chain and we Fixed it Finished the handsleigh

12th Sunday seen a Fox crofsing from Alexis Island 2 Ducks in the air hole a very Fine Day west Wind in the Evening turned from the East can hardly do anything But chopping Stove Wood and Keeping on Fires house warm took the oars and Paddle up from the Boat cold this Evening But Pleasant
