September, 1925

18 Friday. Thunderstorms and rain last night. The men plowed. They had a corn roast and wiener supper at the High School tonight and Vernon stayed down for it

19 Saturday Cloudy & sultry. Cold tonight. Walter got Vernon at Elmira this morning. Walter & Aubrey helped to cut corn at his dad's place this afternoon. Elias Wideman of Balsam Grove was here for supper.

20 Monday. Cold and windy. Ella did her washing. Walter took Vernon to Elmira this morning and Aubrey was cultivating. This p.m. they started cutting the buckwheat
