{N.B. as of Tuesday May 20th, the handwriting seems to change as well as some of the writing habits e.g. "Wednesday" instead of the habitual "Wensday" and, on the next page "bot" instead "bgt"}

| Tuesday, May 13th fine | After arranging with Jim about place and writing to Will, Tom & I went to dig out ground hogs. we got seven, J.S. came home tonight. | ||
