Tuesday. Oct 23rd. / 06 fair We finished picking Apples this morning, and topped about half the turnips this afternoon. Major Hood brought a Govt inspector to see our Horses this morning. Mr Christie and Mr Jones of Mt Elgin
20 Wensday 24th fair wet evening We worked at turnips all day made pit bottom & harrowed up turnips & made roads in them in morning and. hauled 20 small loads in afternoon
30 Thursday 25th Dull wet eve We hauled thirty small lots of Turnips and Dr Came out to See Mother. Mary J. was taken Sick
13 Friday 26th fair We hauled 13 S loafs of Turnips and topped the balance & cleaned out another pit bottom
15 Saturdy 27th Dull & wet We worked at Turnips in forenoon and started after dinner but had to quit. I went to town bgt bread ect. 55c Groceries $460. Shoes for Jennie & Mary. 255 n.p. rubbers. $115 N.P. meat $200 n.p. .55. 2.55 1.15 2.00

Sunday 28th Snow & Eve. We finished Turnips today hauled them into pit. Jennie & I went to Church in morning Jennie, Mary & I to S.S. col 100. 5. 1. 1. E.P. Mayflower 3 had Cow Calf by E.P. Ranger 1.07
34 Monday 29. We finished hauling turnips together today. Telephoned to Jno Mountain tonight for a ram
