| Tuesday. Oct 23rd. / 06 fair | We finished picking Apples this morning, and topped about half the turnips this afternoon. Major Hood brought a Govt inspector to see our Horses this morning. Mr Christie and Mr Jones of Mt Elgin | ||||
| 20 | Wensday 24th fair wet evening | We worked at turnips all day made pit bottom & harrowed up turnips & made roads in them in morning and. hauled 20 small loads in afternoon | |||
| 30 | Thursday 25th Dull wet eve | We hauled thirty small lots of Turnips |

| 13 | Friday 26th fair | We hauled 13 S loafs of Turnips and topped the balance & cleaned out another pit bottom | |||
