August Sunday 14 1927

Attended morning service at church and heard Mr. Wilson preach for first time after his holidays. Had a picnic lunch for dinner up home. Light shower at noon. All of us kids went for a swim over to the old hole in the afternoon and had {August?} time diving etc. Then we older folks had a car ride back to the root field and then Carl and his gang brought us home in time for chores after a pleasant day.

Monday 15

Dan cut and I shocked all the three cornered piece of oats in themorning and then we worked the rest of the day at the same jobs in the big field. Dan and I took a walk over to see Pefhers barn after Supper. Cunninghams came down for a visit and I had some nice dances with Jean.
