We walked around rthe gully and had a look at our alsika and oats the former is a splendid crop and the laytter is pretty good considering whenthey were put in. We got back about four and did a few things around and then Daddy and Enah went over to the McPhersons to see if Enery could come and foix up the stable. Dick and Ferdie shot all the shells they had away but never got anything. They saw an owl one thast Daddy and I nearly stepped on over in the clover. They also foiund a hen's nest in the orchards with fourteen eggs in it and an old hem sitting on them. They were all good. I fixed my toe up which was pretty sore and went barefoot till Enah came and got me a clean pair of socks.
