When and How to Use Nitroglycerin- No. 3.

Nitroglycerin should never be used for the primary purpose of a heart stimulant.

Nitroglycerin given under the tongue produces almost as prompt an effect as when injected under the skin.

Nitroglycerin if given too long or in too large doses, can produce injurious effectsss, which however, usually pass away, at least apparently, when it is discontinued. - Cornwall; J. A. M. A.
