12 Pa and Uncle Donald left for Caledone
13 Raining, had a letter from Far sold q15 eggs. got 2 lbs suga 2 yds edging Paid got 1 pair boots at Willie's 1.50, unpaid Murdy got 1 pair braces at J.A's sold 1/2 bush buckwheat 25. 1.50
14 sold oats $.100. Murdy paid the braces .48
15. The boys are at the shingling of R.H. kitchen
16 Sold 2 bush oats to D McKesic and two to Dr Hunt Farqueher McRae wife and daughter were here to tea, his wife is a little body pretty and very agreeable, got in fine style, his daughter is a big McRae, got 1 lb granulated 1 3/4 brown sugar 14 cts {price cut off 1?} 14
17 Bought 1 lb of Willie's prize tea and got a nice glass dish with cover 60
18 Evening Pa and Uncle Donald came about 6 O'clock had 4 1/2 lb of steak = 45 cts 2 1/2 lb granul. S 28 cts 73
19 Fine day, rained last night Uncle Donald and cousin Mary were over today
20 Washed Murdy went to Gore. got 3 yds waist lining on Saturday at Dan, McKesics' 40
21 Murdy Alick & Ran, drove to the Front to see the St Lawrence
22 Had a letter from Sandy for to send Alix home
23. To sugar at Dan McKesic 1.00 1.00 4.80

24 Alix is to go home tomorrow. I made him a bit of a party, invited John & Tuooer McDonald. Laurance MDonald, John & Duncan McPherson, Tom Tailor Walter & Jimie Slack they had a pleasant time
25 Murdy & I went to Lancaster to see Alix off. The train was late Bought at McCrimmans 5 lbs tea 2.00. thread 16 shirting 2.00 = crackers. 30 cts. at Alexanders. oat meal 25 lb at McGillis, teapot 25., {Laby?} 50. 26 Sabbath cold wind today, but nice and bright
27 Had frost last night in injured some crops of buckwheat and late oats. our garden escaped, but some gardens are nipped
28 I mixed 4 lbs of black wool with four of white to send to factory & washed the yarn yesterday
