Septr 1883

14 I forgot to write this month Jimi was sick. I had a letter from Far written on the 8th septemb that Jimie had been was sick Aunt and I were at Lancaster on Wednesday and got flowers from Miss McLennans North of the {Luibroad?} we took tea at Aunty Kates Marjory is still alive Jane we did not see, she was over 'the big river, She will leave tomorrow from Chicaga
17 Dan McMaster's wife was buried today her coffin was covered with garlands of flowers. To 3 loaves bread - 21 21
18 Got 2$. of sugar, 10 1/2 of White 13 of Brown 2.00
19 had a Post Card from Far. Jimie will be home noon he is in Toronto
21 Jimie came today. Far from the Gore drove him over
22 The boys went to Lancaster to a Lacrosse game Murdy had a rig, White shirt blue pants red hose Ran has no suit 1.00
23 Fine day a good many in Church. The collection for Ministers widows & Orphans I gave but 25

24 Ran got his boots half soled at G Fergusons with our own leather cost 25 cts I gave 1 1/2 butter
25 It rained all yesterday afternoon and all night and fore a while today. Sent a letter to Far.
26 Frose last night, fine day, this I washed, Aunt and her girls, two Miss Rayside's & Libby McLennan were here for a short time. I was at Prayer Meeting. It's said that Willie McPherson has gone to get Married to a Miss Cartman from Cornwall Township. The Sabbath School Convention was being held Yesterday & today in Cornwall. Duncan wrote to Far, to consult J. McLennan Q.C. about the bridge on the Creek. To 100 of flour at J.A. 3.25
27 Wes sent Lassy & Betsy out to MaGachey farm set 4 doz of eggs to Willies. to go to my credidt. Murdy got his booties vampt & halfsoled at {Snesk?} had our own leather cost 75 cts .75
29 Digging potatoes. They are not very good
