18 To syrup at Willie's 30 cts 1 loaf - 7 cts {prices are cut off}
19 I washed today. Mrs Flack came to visit us. It is Jimie birthday Sent Pa 21.25 {prices are cut off}
20 To 2 1/4 yd cloth for Ran. at Dan's .65 = 147 3 lamp chimneys 20 cts 1 {?} 10 {prices are cut off}
21 Beautful day. Got Uncle Murdy's horse with Table to draw some wood snow going fast Sent Pa for {Prue?} 50 cts {prices are cut off}
22 Finished drawing the wood. Ran had his boots patched 25 cts Murdy's boots 1/2 coled 30 To 4 1/2 lb sugar 25 cts baking powder 10. We got a lamb today it is sick. Burton had an Auction sale today of farming implements {prices are cut off}
23 Raining, The roads bad. Pa & Far. went to the funeral of Alick Rory McLennan's wife, her father was buried yesterday. John Whiteman {Wightman}
24 fine day. The lamb died this morning we sent wheet & Buckwheat to the Mill. Moorehouse took the pots and spoils he took the kittles Saturday. Far went to the Gore to work at the {vinigar?} Making. The Dominion is in trouble about some Yankee speculators in Toronto trying the buy the House members to vote on the Conservative side Temperance Meeting I did not go. the water is over the road from Tom Hickmans fields down to the bridge. 1 load yest 10 {prices are cut off}
25 Very fined. Sap will run long legs had a lamb
26 Wednesday raining all day. I was at Prayer Meeting.
27 Thursday sold 2 1/2 doz eggs 50 cts. got syrup 1 copy Book John Douglad Grant has bought the Johnston house for $319. And he has moved into it. Charley Sam finished sawing 5 cords of maple for us {prices are cut off}

25 Fine soft day, and my birthday birthdays count nothing in our house. I am trying to make a basque out of some piece of cashmere I had left from a former dress
29 To 4 lbs tea at Dan's 45 cts 1.80 Far came back this evening on horse back it is snowing & blowing. Jimie is sick again Bird & Marion are at J.A's spending the evening 1.80
30 Sunday cold and raw. preaching at 3 Ocl. by Mr Calder of Lancaster. he walked up the roads are very - water on them. Mr Mc Gilliavry is in Kingston. Prayer Meeting in Hephsabah (Hephzibah} Far went back to the Gore.
31 Fine bright day but cold the clothes froze as soon as I hung them out, even in the sun We did not get any Mail since Friday. So we do not know what is going on in the world.
April 1st we got the mail today and there is an account of the sudden death of Prince Lepold fourth son of Queen Victoria. aged 31. leaves a wife and infant son he died at Cannes France on March. And on the 29th of March there was a riot in Cincinetta {Cincinnati} it lasted three days it was caused by the Court sentencing a man to 20 years to prison for murder the mob thought to lynch him
