June 1885

24 Went to Cornwall yesterday to attend the Womans Foreign Mi. S. They Met in Knox church a fine new building. We had dinner & tea in the basement of the church. I bought a hat for Ran at Mrs McDonald's 2.25 one for "Mare" on "C" Ran at Coats 60 for M. 290 for Ran's Bought 2 1/2 yds cloth for Jim 2.25 1 pair gloves 45. 1 straw crown 50. 2.25 1.00 3.70
25 Been raining a good deal yesterday and day before working in gardens Jimie working with team on the road. Pa & Far & Murdy fixing foundation for a woodshed at D. alvin's
