{18 cont.} and Mr Scullion came here to tea he went off to John McGillises Kate will be here until tomorrow. Rev. Mr McQuaig preached in our church. Kate is sick
19 Got up at 4 to get Murdy's things ready Kate was some better They left here at 6. Jimie drove them to Lancaster About 1/2 after 10. Farquher McRae of New York came here and he remained until 9 P.M. we spent a pleasant day Pa gave Murdyt $15.00 for board s.a. 15--
20 Every day since Saturday was pleasant looked like Indian Summer, but today it was threatening rain all day. Got 8 lb of stew 48 cts Cousin Mary was here she came to take Mrs Handy home Ran got a letter today from Mrs McGilliavry 48
21 Began to rain last evening and has rained all day. I washed. Far went to the Gore
22 Hung out the washing. There was sunshine in the Morning Far came home had a bag of apples Uncle Donald gave him. Rain in evening
23 Jimie went to Monroe's Mills for shingles & boards going to shingle Dunn home. $.12. Young folks decorating the Hall. Mr McQuary our assistant teacher had left today & a Mr McCormick came in place. Jimie went to a concert at Lancaster Auntie was here. she & I pared apples. Oscer came home 6 lb stew 6 = 36 36
24 Went in afternoon to pick beachnuts very fine day To 1/2 gall coaloil 15. had a letter from Murdy 15
25 A Young student preached today. I did not hear his name.
