21. Rained all day, a cold E. wind, very few in Church Elder of Lancaster preached text, Math. 9. Chap, 36.37.38. verses. The harvest truly is plentious but the labourers are fed. It was a missionary, sermon, no prayer meeting.
22. High E. wind accompanyed by snow. very ugly day I have a bad cold so has Marion.
23 Another ugly cold day, sold two calves 3.2 = 5 for them both Auntie & Hattie were here this evening & Auntie gave me a bonnet 75 cts feather 1.25=
24 Wednesday The calves were taken away I was not at prayer meeting. I have a bad cough
26 Got Another calf a heifer. There was a Temperance Meeting in the Hall this afternoon. Officers appointed to look to after the Scot Act.
27 Sold 3 doz eggs at W. got 1/4 lb pepper 1/4 Cream tartar. @ 25 cts. got syrup at Dan's 15. very fine day the boys tapped 100 trees. got 2 zink kettles = 25 cts each = 100 spoils - 1.25 - 1.75
28 Sabbath another fine day
29 Cold wind in the morning Far went to the Gore and got 2 big pots. 7.50 P.M. Sent a letter to Murdy & 12.00 it is raining, poor look out for sugar making
30 Raining a little yet boiled some syrup
31 A goodly number at prayer Meeting
