21 Murdy and I went to Montreal on Tuesday Pa gave me 12 dollars. I gave it to Murdy, he had 2.20. for 2 second class tickets. got to Annes McDonalds found them all well. Went out after dinner, called to see Mrs Shaver, called at two other places, trying to get a boarding place for Murdy. got 2 pair boots. 50. 2.20 1.00
22 Out again for a place for murdy. got a place with Mrs M Martin
23 got home last might Kate came with me to the Fair had been in Alexandria yesterday & today. Far & Jimie went and brought some things
24 Kate Bird and Myself went to Lancaster for Kate's valise. and Bird had a tooth pulled. We got first prize for one kind of pola prize for {blank} prize for {blank} all they kept one for the membership fee I got one to send to Toronto for a Presbyterian paper I did not get the paper yet Far got the other two in part payment for the expenses at Alexandria himself Jimie & team two day & {Anni?} went to Montreal and took 5000 to Murdy. 50
