October 1886

18 Kate came yesterday. she had been one week at Percells.
19 Kate & I were at Widdow McGillis' Gore had a very pleasant visit The high wind of last week was very destructive to life and property in Britain A greate many small vessels were wrecked and mostly all hands perished
20 Baked. My Aunt Kate was here. We butcher a lamb on Tuesday. I made a haggis today. Aunt Kate went to Dunk Saddlers this evening.
25 Farquher went to Sudbury on the C.P.R. to keep books for McKezie. Kate went for home
26 Sent a letter to Murdy with $.16.00 he will have to pay his board weekly.
27. A goodly number at Prayer meeting
28 John Roy. Glen was here asking us to a party. very fine weather
29 Pa & I went in the buggy to the party. Jimie got thair with some one else. we came home about 12. We heard that Donald McLennan died Wednesday
30 Very fine day. Pa & Jimie at the farm
31 Beautiful day Flora McLennan & Alick's widdow were here I got a letter from Far, he got to Sudbury all right, pays 4 doll a week for board.
