January 1887

1 Fine day but cold McKillop went to Martintown by the Stage. There was a sermon in our Church
2. Sunday. this begins the week of prayer service to night in Hepzebeth (Hephzibah}
3 Very cold last night only Elder at the meeting This evening. There was Watson Mathewson & McGillavrary not many people fearfully cold
4 Prayer Meeting in Watsons Temple fine evening quite a number out. I forgot to say that the Election of Councillors took place on Mondow 3rd. McNaughton & Sandy Bun were tie for reeve, Hunt deputy reeve
6 Thursday prayers in St Andrews a large gathering fine evening
7 Prayer Meeting in St A. not so many storming Mr Morris proposed to support a Missionary in China. McGillivray took it up eagerly.
8 Trying to fix Murdy up for to start tonight Mr Morrison spent the evening here 5 P.M. Murdy will not go until Monday it has grown very stormy
9 Cold ugly day Prayer Meeting St Andrew
10 Murdy went down this morning
11 Marriage at the Manse, {Proch?} Grant's daughter and {?} McLennan, both from the S. Branch very wild day
12 Towards evening Jimie ran the mow plough around our part of the village
13 Fine day got 1/2 lb Japan tea at Gurtys 45 = 22 1/2 481 drawn g black tea Ran had tooth ache
