Friday 14. Very wild day wind from East, whirling the snow in every direction. Jimie drove the girls to School
15 Snow up to the top of the fences. Jimie was out with the mow plough. Jimie & Snider went to Lancaster on snow shoes. and got the mail
16 Not many in Church a very good sermon prayer in St Church
17. Washed today and it was very cold
18 Tuesday S.S. Convention meets in Cornwall today. McGillvray Mrs McLennon. Elder & Snider are all from {Mono farm?} Mrs Grant & Mrs Dan think of going in the Afternoon. I bought at Willie's and had it charged 1/3 yd cloth 2.75 pr yd, 1 3/4 farmers satin 40 5 yds wadding 2 spools B. thread 1 yd twist - 5 cts 1 spool silk 5 cts 1 yd cotton 9. 1/2 cotton 7 1 3/4 sileca 20. 1 Luby 45, 3/4 cotton 4 cts got charged at Dan's 1 3/4 yds sleeve lining 1 lb starch
19 There has been a big flood at Cornwall, beginning in the early morning, the mills & factories are all flooded a lot of cattle drowned,one man drowned Bergoron, he was broughup in Martintown
20 To 1 packet of envelopes 5 cts sent a letter to Far, I heard that a woman died in Cornwall from exposure in the flood.
21 Mrs Dan Mrs Monroe were here telling me that there is to be a feast for the G. School schoolars on Thursday and I am expected to prepair something
22 Rained some this evening boys took home a load of straw Watson's concert last night was very good. And thair was a fine purse. P.P. 50. R.R. 25 L.M.M. 25
