27 Far went to Cornwall today. Percell & Stilwell have a suit. for Libel, & Stilwell printed the Flora McDonald letter in the Glengarian, which Purcell took umbrage at
28 Had heavy frost last night - Jetty got hooked in the neck by Lassie. I sent a letter (the letter was to Murdy) and {?} papers to Sandy

Pa sent a letter to Donald Robertson in answer to one he got from him two days ago concerning the deed of the {T?}oromoney farm

This has been a pleasant day I was at Aunties this evening, she is in good cheere.
29 It began to rain this morning about 6 A.M. and drizzled until about 4 P.M. then it began to snow. The ground is white. 10. P.M. 31. We had a very pleasant surprise today by seeing a friend of 40 years ago, Hugh Johnson of Detroit. He was on his way home from Washington. I was so to call at Toronto This is Halloween. Far went 1 10 P.M. Marion & I were this evening at D.D. we enjoyed the visit. a greate many boys in the roads with masks and other disguises
